East London Badminton – EZ Badders Social Club
EZ Badders is an East London badminton club based around Tower Hamlets and Newham. We run level-based badminton sessions in Mile End, Bow, West Ham, Canning Town and more, for everyone from complete beginners to advanced players.
About Our East London Badminton Club
EZ Badders is a friendly, social badminton club in East London. We cater for all levels – from first-timers who just want to try badminton, all the way up to advanced players who love fast, competitive rallies.
Our East London badminton sessions are organised so you’ll always play against people at a similar standard. Courts are split by level and players move between courts as they improve.
We’re based around the Tower Hamlets and Newham boroughs, currently playing in Mile End, Bow, West Ham, Canning Town and more locations to follow. We’ve built a community of around 600 players in just 7 months – and we’re still growing fast.
Who Our East London Badminton Sessions Are For
Beginners
Never played before or still learning the basics? You’re welcome. We’ll ease you in, help you with the rules and scoring, and match you with other beginners so you can build confidence on court.
Social & Intermediate Players
If you’ve played a bit and love a good game without taking it too seriously, our social East London badminton courts are for you. Expect mixed doubles, lots of rotation, and plenty of rallies at a comfortable pace.
Advanced & Competitive
For players who want intensity, we run faster courts with stronger players. You’ll face others at your level, push your fitness, and enjoy competitive games in a friendly, East London badminton environment.
Club leaderboard & ratings Key Feature
Every player receives an EZ Badders rating between 1000 and 2000. Your rating goes up and down based on your results, and we use it to organise our club leaderboard and split courts by level. It keeps things fair, fun and gives everyone something to aim for.

In just seven months we’ve built a club of around 600 players and the leaderboard is growing every week as new East London badminton players join the sessions.

Where We Play Badminton in East London
EZ Badders runs badminton sessions across Tower Hamlets and Newham in East London. At the moment our main venues are:

We also play in and around Mile End, Bow, West Ham, Canning Town – with more East London badminton locations to follow as the club grows.
What to bring
- • Your own racket (we may have limited spares for new players)
- • Water and a small towel
Just arrive a little early the first time you come so we can check you in, explain how we organise games, and get you into the right group.
Getting here:
Eastlea Community School – Underground to West Ham or Canning Town, then DLR to Star Lane and a 5-minute walk.
Qmotion – Underground to Stepney Green, then around a 4-minute walk to the sports hall.
Bow School – 3-minute walk from Bromley-by-Bow (District line) station.
East London Badminton Session Prices
Standard session
Pay per play
£10 / 2-hour badminton session
Simple and flexible – just pay for the East London badminton sessions you attend.
- 2 hours of organised games
- Court hire and shuttles included
- All levels welcome
Shuttles & court types:
Upper-intermediate and advanced courts play with feather shuttles,
which carry an additional £3 per session to cover costs.
All other courts use Yonex Mavis 600 plastic shuttles as standard.
Prices are the same across our current regular East London badminton sessions. Any special events or tournaments will be announced separately in the WhatsApp group.

All our session announcements, bookings and last-minute updates go through the EZ Badders WhatsApp group. Once you join, just say hi, tell us your rough level (beginner / intermediate / advanced) and which East London badminton session you’re interested in.
We also organise club socials so players can connect and have fun beyond the court – food, drinks and the odd non-badminton activity!
If you have any specific questions (e.g. big group bookings, collaboration ideas, or potential new venues), you can message the admins directly in the group once you’ve joined.
