About Our East London Badminton Club
EZ Badders is a friendly, social badminton club in East London. We cater for all levels – from first-timers who just want to try badminton, all the way up to advanced players who love fast, competitive rallies.
Our East London badminton sessions are organised so you’ll always play against people at a similar standard. Courts are split by level and players move between courts as they improve.
We’re based around the Tower Hamlets and Newham boroughs, currently playing in Mile End, Bow, West Ham, Canning Town and more locations to follow. We’ve built a community of around 600 players in just 7 months – and we’re still growing fast.
Who Our East London Badminton Sessions Are For
Beginners
Never played before or still learning the basics? You’re welcome. We’ll ease you in, help you with the rules and scoring, and match you with other beginners so you can build confidence on court.
Social & Intermediate Players
If you’ve played a bit and love a good game without taking it too seriously, our social East London badminton courts are for you. Expect mixed doubles, lots of rotation, and plenty of rallies at a comfortable pace.
Advanced & Competitive
For players who want intensity, we run faster courts with stronger players. You’ll face others at your level, push your fitness, and enjoy competitive games in a friendly, East London badminton environment.
Club leaderboard & ratings Key Feature
Every player receives an EZ Badders rating between 1000 and 2000. Your rating goes up and down based on your results, and we use it to organise our club leaderboard and split courts by level. It keeps things fair, fun and gives everyone something to aim for.
In just seven months we’ve built a club of around 600 players and the leaderboard is growing every week as new East London badminton players join the sessions.
Coming soon: live ratings for every player in the club and a scrollable top 10 leaderboard where you’ll be able to swipe or pan left and right to see how you stack up against other EZ Badders.

Qmotion – Stepney Green Sunday Session
Weekly
Central East London badminton session with a mix of intermediate and advanced players. Perfect if you enjoy a slightly quicker pace.

What to bring
- • Indoor sports shoes (non-marking soles if possible)
- • Your own racket (we may have limited spares for new players)
- • Water and a small towel
Just arrive a little early the first time you come so we can check you in, explain how we organise games, and get you into the right group.

As the club grows we’ll introduce block bookings, loyalty deals and potentially membership options for regular East London badminton players.

Shuttles & court types:
Upper-intermediate and advanced courts play with feather shuttles,
which carry an additional £3 per session to cover costs.
All other courts use Yonex Mavis 600 plastic shuttles as standard.
Prices are the same across our current regular East London badminton sessions. Any special events or tournaments will be announced separately in the WhatsApp group.

We also organise club socials so players can connect and have fun beyond the court – food, drinks and the odd non-badminton activity!
